Considering you have been in an
accident and you want to file a personal injury claim, the first thing to do is
to find a personal injury attorney. As an attorney would tell you, it’s also
important to collect as much evidence as possible.
Return to the Scene of Accident
The earlier you return to the
scene of accident to record evidence and find witnesses, the better it will be.
You don’t want the evidence to be cleaned off. Evidence can include photographs
of the other party’s vehicle, damaged pieces of your car or assets, blood, and
any other damaged items.
Protect Any Physical Evidence
Whether it’s a car that hit you
or a falling debris from construction sites, you need to protect the physical
evidence. If your car has a dent, do not get it repaired right away. You may also
consider taking enough photographs to prove that the dent existed.
Document Your Injuries
Make sure all the medicines and
medical expenditure you have paid is well presented. Keep all receipts and
prescriptions that you have acquired during your treatments. Similarly, all the
injuries you have sustained should be documented and photographed as well to
make your case more convincing.
